My father recommended this book to me. He read it several times when he was serving a mission for the LDS Church. I absolutely loved Talmage's wide vocabulary, and read several chapters a few times to appreciate his mastery of the English language. I found all of the Jewish history quite fascinating; I had trouble leaving my computer screen. With every chapter I examined, more of the information taught in my Judaism class at BYU made sense. I loved learning about the life of my Savior, Jesus Christ, and of the Jewish customs concerning the parables and miracles. This added to the enlightening of Christ's teachings, and made me fully appreciate the lessons he taught through his example, which we should attempt to emulate.
