Airplane 2 (Comedy, 1982)

I understand why the writers from the original Airplane wanted nothing to do with the sequel. They said that they had exhausted all of the "airplane" humor, and they did not want to be associated with a bad sequel. And this was a bad sequel! It seemed like they were repeating quite a few of the jokes from the first classic. This movie had a court case where they brought back, some of the characters from the previous movie, and they attempted to re-create the humorous magic of the first Airplane, and it just did not work. They tried too hard to copy the first's jokes. The new jokes were not funny. They had a few more modern lines when the girl is trying to sleep with many males before she dies in the almost certain crash, and when the child makes the comment about escaping all of the publicity from the trial. These jokes are more liberal and have allusions to the times. Waste of time! :-)
