I know, some of our readers were shocked when they saw this movie on my Top Picks! This just goes to show that I still enjoy stupid comedies. It just depends on my mood! I find this movie to be hilarious!

The cast is blended. Jim Carey is a riot. Carey plays the stupid buffoon, Lloyd Christmas, quite well,especially in the following line where he is trying to butter up an elderly lady driving a motorized cart. He wants this nice-looking older lady to do him a favor, but his compliments do not work. Gee, I wonder why?

"You know I guess they're right, senior citizens, although slow and dangerous behind the wheel, can still serve a purpose. I'll be right back, don't you go dying on me!"

Carey is teamed up with the ridiculous Harry Dunne, played by Jeff Daniels. The two characters are sure to make you laugh, despite your mood. Their arguments are just so stupid! The dialogue was cleverly written. Of course, it is snort-worthy!

Just a little side note: Floyd Christmas may not get his dream girl at the end of the movie, but Jim Carey did get Lauren Holly in the end. They were dating while they were filming this picture, which makes their scenes together all the more funny. Cleverly idiotic movie! Hilarious! :-)
