Starring: Gene Kelly and Mitzi Gaynor
I've seen everything, now! Totally cheesy plot, but unexpected. No
phenomenal music, not even good. The only part worth mentioning is the closing scene, which has a spark of realistic humor. The only thing that attracted me to this movie, which I'm sure was the reason why audiences flocked to the theater -- the famous cast. I was so positive that any musical with Gene Kelley and Mitzi Gaynor had to be wonderful! How wrong I was! The only wonderful part of this movie was the corny scene where Gaynor plays a trick on the game-player, Gene Kelley. When he asks her if they could go up to her apartment to talk, she finally relents, and the fun Gaynor has playing with her would-be seducer is funny. A bit confusing, and I was nearly tempted to fall asleep. In fact, I just might have. Okay movie! :-)
