Top Pick, Given an A+ by Nicole Kent
Starring: Doris Day, Rock Hudson, and Tony Randall. Yes, it can be argued that all Doris Day movies are the same. Most of the plots are similar. However, I must insist this film to be my favorite. So funny! The conversations held by the two main characters brought tears to my eyes, and these were not tears of grief.
The writers were outstanding! Some of dialogues were very witty such as Randall's performance as the idiotic boss, obsessed with his analyst and the scene where he is chastising Jerry Webster, the conniving, manipulating womanizer, played ironically by Rock Hudson. From his performance as this legendary seducer, who would have guessed Rock's secret life?
This movie has clever writing, including this bit of dialog:
Jerry Webster: Okay, so I've sewn a few wild oats.
Carol Templeton : A few? You could qualify for a farm loan.
Absolutely hilarious! Exceptional movie! :-)
