Starring: Rock Hudson, Doris Day, and Tony Randall.
Not my favorite Doris Day movie, but still entertaining. I love Tony Randall with his delightful performance as Arnold Nash, the best friend to our hero, played by Rock Hudson, who plays the looney hypochondriac. The scene where these two are checking out possible men for his anticipated widow is hilarious! I think the screenwriters were in need some new ideas, because I heard some of the same lines from Lover, Come Back and some of the scenes were just too similar. The following has to be one of my favorite compensations:
George Kimball: if a man's wife thinks he's having an affair, how can he convince her he's not?
Arnold Nash : He can't.George Kimball : But I'm not having one!
Arnold Nash : Doesn't make any difference.
George Kimball : Isn't a man innocent until proven guilty?
Arnold Nash : Look, you're dealing with your wife. You can forget the Constitution.
A great movie, but then again I am obliged to adore any movie with Tony Randall! Typical Doris Day humor with the stupid marital disagreements. Good movie! :-)
