(1955)
Starring: William Holden and Jenny Jones
For being so adamant in expressing her pride in being Asian-American, it is a little surprising to hear the name Jenny Jones, a white caucasian in this leading role. William Holden costars Sunset Boulevardin this cute romantic plot, but I don't know, I kept getting tired of the movie obsessing over the two characters of different origins, and how difficult a romantic relationship would be ( could it be that the world's view of interracial marriages has changed?). These two characters obviously loved each other, so who cares what the world may think? The ending was depressing, but I was already waiting for the end. Long, too drawn-out, and too many romantic movies out there. It seems like this movie was made to satisfy the liberal public who wanted to see a romantic movie about two different ethnicities. Just got tired of the propaganda! Decent movie. :-)
